Yoshida Akimi was born in August 12, 1956 in Tokyo. She made her manga debut in Bessatsu Shoujo Comic with"Chotto Fushigina Geshukunin" in 1977.
Most of her titles are in print and easy to get. "BANANA FISH" English version has been serialized in Animerica Extra magazine and "BANANA FISH" vols 1 to 7 were published by VIZ. Chinese version and Korean version of all vols were published. "Sakura no Sono", "Kisshou Tennyo", "Lovers' Kiss" and "Yasha" have Chinese version. "Lovers' Kiss" and "Yasha" Chinese version, published by Dong Li, are in print.
Her new series "Eve no Nemuri" started on the Flowers 2003 August issue.

Eve no Nemuri

It's been 18 years since Rin died. Alisa, who is Sei and Lou May's daughter live with her mother, Ken, and her brother Shinji in Hawaii. Shinji is Ken and Lou May's son. Shinji knows Alisa isn't Ken's real daughter, but Alisa doesn't. Alisa sometimes sees a phantom boy. One day, she sees a boy point out the sky. She sees a plane there. By the plane, Rie, Shin's son comes to ask Ken for some help. He also knows Alisa is Sei's daughter. Alisa is called "Dragon's daughter". Rie says a prophet said Rie would marry a woman who's a dragon's blood relative. When they go into the forest, Rie also sees a boy. Alisa tells him the boy is a phantom and he is the only person that can see him except Alisa. Even though her family said the boy was the spirit of the forest, she doubted that. She thinks the boy tries to tell her something.
